U.S. Senate Committee Hearing on Alternative Aviation Fuels
It was great to see so many of our Paris Air Show participants last week at the U.S. Senate Committee hearing on alternative aviation fuels in Washington, DC.
The Senators in attendance posed interesting questions and comments. Senator Lautenberg specifically referred to his trip to the Paris Air Show and mentioned how impressed he was with how far alternative aviation fuels have progressed.
You can click here for a link to the full testimony of the two panels of experts. (Note: The actual hearing begins at minute 15 on the video. You can move the indicator over to minute 15 then click ‘play’.) Tom Todaro from Alt Air begins his testimony at minute 50. Rich Altman from CAAFI begins his at minute 100. You can also find written transcripts of everyone’s testimony via the same link.
It is wonderful to have further favorable attention directed towards the alternative aviation fuels industry!
We want to continue building this momentum in the lead-up to the industry’s biggest event of the year on November 30 and December 1, 2011 in Washington, DC.
The CAAFI General Meeting and Expo, taking place at Georgetown University, is designed to give Senators; their committee and personal staff; other Congressional personnel; key government agency officials; airline fuel buyers; journalists and a large group of financiers the opportunity to meet face-to-face with fuel producers and feedstock providers.
